Registration fiasco

Due to a little bad luck, a little ignorance (Ok, a little more than a "little"), a very busy schedule and a bad IT infrastructure, I ended up getting my car towed this weekend for a registration sticker that had not been renewed. Today, I'll spend a couple of hours traveling to the Cambridge City Hall to pay a parking ticket and then over to everyone's favorite place - the DMV :-)

Why can't there be a place on the Internet where you go to, type in your license plate or social security # and get a list of any outstanding fines that you owe? Then - click a button to pay them? Wouldn't this be the world's greatest example of return on investment and hassle savings for our Citizens?

More to come...

Have a great day.

No shortage of VC dollars were burned in the go go 90's to try to achieve just that.
